MANHUNT UNDERWAY IN DEFUNIAK SPRINGS FOR STRONG ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

Walton County, Florida – A man wanted on multiple felony warrants runs from deputies initiating a manhunt in DeFuniak Springs.
Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted Karl Ruggirello near Southern Springs Apartments at approximately 1:30pm Wednesday and attempted to serve him with two warrants out of DeFuniak Springs Police Department. Ruggirello fled into a wooded area near Davis Lane and Will Kelly Avenue.
Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies and WCSO K9’s along with DeFuniak Springs Police Department are currently in the area along with Holmes County Sheriff’s Office K9 Units and Walton Corrections K9’s. WCSO Air One has also been deployed.
Ruggirello is wanted on charges of strong-armed robbery and theft.
Anyone with information is asked to call your local law enforcement agency. DO NOT APPROACH the suspect. We will release more information as this situation develops.
