THIEF STEALS WALLET FROM SHOPPER AT GROCERY STORE

FREEPORT, Fla— It took less than a second for a thief to grab the wallet of an unsuspecting shopper at a Walton County grocery store.
On March 22, 2019, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to Publix in Freeport, Florida regarding a theft. The victim told investigators her wallet was stolen out of her purse while she was shopping.
Video footage from inside the store showed a black female stepping behind the victim, taking the wallet out of her purse and walking off. The suspect was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark gray sweat pants, sandals, and a baseball cap.\

On April 23, 2019, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a woman with the same description who used the stolen credit card at the Walmart in DeFuniak Springs. The suspect was wearing a long-sleeved pink sweatshirt with the words “Panama City Beach Florida,” gray pants, ball cap, and what appeared to be a wig.
