DEFUNIAK SPRINGS MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES FOLLOWING MONDAY STABBING INCIDENT
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla—A 26-year-old is behind bars after stabbing his half-brother six times and sending him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
At 6pm Monday Walton County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at Healthmark Regional Medical Center in response to a stabbing. The victim, Ryan Miller, 19, had been stabbed a half a dozen times and had a partially collapsed lung.
Witnesses told investigators that Jeffery Duncan, 26, had previously been high on methamphetamine the days before the incident. According to the victim, the attack was unprovoked.
In addition to the stabbing, investigators located a victim of a battery that occurred earlier that day in which Duncan attacked Robert Sheldon Peters, 51, punching him in the face numerous times following an argument.
Duncan was subsequently arrested on charges of aggravated battery using a deadly weapon and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm. He is currently being held on $50,000 bond and is awaiting felony trial in the Walton County Jail.
