Trespassing on Gulf Front Property – Standard Operating Procedure 2.1.1
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has created a policy to provide direction to sworn agency members when answering calls for service related to reports of trespass on Gulffront/beach property in Walton County. This policy was written following the Walton County Customary Use Settlement Agreement between Walton County and a specific number of property owners with beachfront property, Case No.:2018-CA-000547 in the First Judicial Circuit, Walton County, FL.
In the spirit of transparency, we are making this policy public so our community understands our approach and the manner in which we will address these types of interactions.
This policy goes into effect on October 1st, 2023.
