Mug shot of a hispanic male with an afro and a frown. WALTON COUNTY, Fla. – A second arrest has been made during an investigation into a shooting in Mossy Head where more than two dozen shots were fired, and an 11-year-old was seriously injured.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau has charged Angel Manuel Sarazua, 16, with destroying evidence and accessory after the fact.

Early in the morning on May 2nd, Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on West Cypress Avenue in Mossy Head. The frantic 911 call was made by the victim’s mother who told dispatchers her 11-year-old son had been shot.

After numerous interviews and forensic analysis of evidence, investigators were able to determine that Sarazua knew about the shooting and tried to conceal evidence from investigators.

Sarazua was arrested today and booked into the Walton County Jail before being taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Crestview.

Sarazua is the second juvenile charged in connection to the shooting. Wednesday, Investigators charged Luis Mario Polanco-Gonzalez, 15, with attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied dwelling, using a two-way communication device in the commission of a felony, and tampering with evidence.

At this time, investigators believe this was a targeted attack that resulted in an unintended victim. This case is still active, and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau is continuing its investigation. More information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
