WCSO SEEKING ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING MISSING DEFUNIAK SPRINGS MAN

thumbnail_944340_10153301415491493_8784095980191249312_nDeFuniak Springs, Fla— The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in locating a missing DeFuniak Springs man who disappeared in August 2015.

John Thomas Watson, who also goes by the nickname “JT” Watson, is 6’3”, with brown hair, brown eyes, numerous tattoos, and weighs approximately 200 lbs.

Watson was released from prison on July 1, 2015. He has been staying with family and occasionally staying in local motels in DeFuniak Springs since his release.  Watson purchased two used vehicles in August 2015. He was seen on August 7, 2015 (Friday) at 8pm, driving a 1997 black Mitsubishi Mirage in DeFuniak Springs. Watson was last seen at 1:47am on August 08, 2015 pulling out of the Walmart parking lot and taking his friend home a few minutes away.

He paid for a room for one night at Adams Motel in DeFuniak Springs on August 7, 2015, but it is unknown if he actually used the room or not. Watson did not shown up at his place of employment or for scheduled doctor’s appointments. The last activity on his bank account and EBT card was on the day he disappeared. Watson’s family states that he suffers from seizures and was not taking any medication at the time of his disappearances. Watson was last seen wearing black tank top and khaki shorts.
