WALTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO BE FEATURED IN NEW A&E NETWORK SERIES ‘LIVE PD’

DeFuniak Springs, Fla— The Walton County Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to excellence is about to be seen on a whole new level – live national television.

WCSO is one of six diverse law enforcement agencies around the country that will be featured in the new weekly series Live PD. The announcement was made by the A&E Network on October 3, and the eight week, two-hour special premieres Friday, October 28 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

The show aims to capture beyond the normal experience. A live social media component will take audiences behind the scenes of the Live PD, and the combination of dash cams and hand held cameras will highlight the work being done by the men and women of our agency.

“With the cultural climate surrounding recent events involving law enforcement in our country, we hope this will show our willingness to be transparent,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson.

Several Walton County Sheriff deputies have been chosen to allow film crews to ride along as they perform their service to their community.

“This will not only portray law enforcement in a whole new light, but it will bring a whole new perspective into the daily challenges that our deputies face,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson.
