SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO DISCOVERY OF HUNDREDS OF CHILD PORN VIDEOS; HONDURAN NATIONAL ARRESTED
WALTON COUNTY, FLA— A search warrant in Freeport leads to the arrest of a Honduran National and the discovery of more than 350 child porn videos.
Ever Alonso Soler Pineda, 33, has been arrested following a multi-year investigation beginning in 2021 when back-to-back cyber tips were initially reported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered Soler Pineda had come to the United States illegally from Honduras and had been living in Freeport for approximately two years which matched the timeline of when the initial tips came in.
After more than two years of an intensive investigation and two additional cyber tips, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at 42 Cypress Lane in Freeport, Florida. The task force includes members of The Department of Homeland Security based out of Pensacola.
During the search warrant, initial evidence collected at the scene revealed 375 videos of child sexual abuse of children whose ages range from as young as 2 years of age to 12. All videos were saved on Soler Pineda’s device.
“The complexity of this case was exacerbated by the immigration status of the suspect,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson. “Making it extremely difficult to confirm his information, whereabouts, and so on.
“Thanks to the diligent and professional work of our Cyber Crimes Unit, he is where he belongs – behind bars.”
Soler Pineda is charged with 25 counts of possession of child porn and using a communication device in the commission of a felony. He was issued a $100,000 bond and is still incarcerated at the time of this release. Additional charges will be forthcoming.
In accordance with Federal Law, Walton County Sheriff’s Office notified U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement regarding Soler-Pineda’s arrest. As a result, they have placed a hold on him which will be carried out at the end of his sentence.
