LARGE DRUG STASH FOUND, FIVE ARRESTED FOLLOWING SEARCH WARRANT IN DEFUNIAK SPRINGS

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla— Needles, cocaine, meth, a handgun and a number of unidentified pills are located following a search warrant in DeFuniak Springs.

Five people have been charged after State Probation Officers out of DeFuniak Springs locate drugs during a check on a probationer at 1109 North Norwood Road on May 3rd. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit responded and executed a probable cause search warrant the same day leading to the discovery of a .45 caliber handgun, a large amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, pills, and marijuana. In addition, several pills were sent to the FDLE Crime Lab for identification.

The individuals arrested are as follows:

Clarence D. Sheets, 45, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Samuel J. Russell, 33, possession of paraphernalia and violation of probation.

Amber M. Deal, 26, possession of paraphernalia.

Kristen L. Shuler, 31, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of paraphernalia.

Nicholas M. Heflin, 29, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to sale, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
