DOMESTIC ARGUMENT LEADS TO STABBING, SUSPECT STILL SOUGHT

On May 19, 2019 the Walton County Sheriff’s responded to an aggravated domestic assault that occurred on 1st Street, Santa Rosa Beach, FL.  William Ramos, 28, used a kitchen knife to stab the victim in the left side of the chest, puncturing the lung. Ramos left the residence heading south on 1stStreet.

Ramos is described as a Hispanic male, 6’0, 185lbs with black hair and brown eyes. This photo was provided by a family member.

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla— A suspect is being sought by Walton County Sheriff’s Office in connection to a stabbing on Sunday night.

Deputies responded to 1st Street just after 10 pm May 19th in reference to an incident between family members.

The suspect, William Ramos, and the victim engaged in a verbal altercation after drinking on the beach earlier in the day.

The argument quickly escalated and Ramos used a kitchen knife approximately 6-8 inches long to stab the victim one time in the side before fleeing the area on foot.

The victim suffered a punctured a lung, but the injury is not life-threatening.

Walton and Holmes Correctional K9 Teams responded but were unable to locate Ramos.
