CRESTVIEW MAN FACING TRAFFICKING CHARGES FOLLOWING VICE/NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION

WALTON COUNTY, FLA— A Crestview man is facing drug trafficking charges after a VICE/Narcotics Investigation leads to the discovery of more than half a pound of meth in his vehicle.

Late Tuesday evening information was received by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office VICE/ Narcotics Unit that Bryan Reed, 36, of Crestview, Florida was traveling to DeFuniak Springs with a large quantity of drugs.

Investigators located the vehicle in DeFuniak Springs and Reed was immediately detained.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office K9 Kenny was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

A subsequent search revealed 12 ounces of methamphetamine and 28 grams of marijuana in a backpack located inside the backseat of the SUV.

Reed was currently out on bond after he was arrested in Okaloosa County in March of this year on weapons charges.

Reed was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and using a two-way communication device in the commission of a felony.

Reed was issued a $100,000 bond and is still incarcerated at the time of this release.
