30A TO CLOSE SUNDAY MORNING FOR 30A HALF MARATHON

22042278_1092960810840598_394486328472044074_oSANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla– This weekend is the 30a Half Marathon. The mission of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office during this event is to ensure the safety of the participants at this event and ensure compliance to Florida State Statutes.

WCSO will provide traffic control during the entirety of the marathon race to ensure the safety of both motorist and runners who will be on County Road 30A and will assist the event volunteers when needed. WCSO will also be assisting with parking and traffic issues while the event is ongoing.

At 6:30 AM on Sunday both lanes of travel on 30A will be closed from C.R. 393 to Watercolor Blvd. At 7:00 AM the 30a Half Marathon run begins. At 7:25 AM 5K run begins. At 10:00 AM all traffic on C.R. 30A will re-open. All remaining runners will be moved over to the bike path by deputies.

Please be patient Sunday morning as first responders will be stationed along the parade route for the duration of the event. We appreciate your help in spreading the word and preparing yourself for any commute you may want to make that morning!
