UPDATE: SUSPECT IN CUSTODY AFTER SHORT PURSUIT IN MOSSY HEAD

Mossy Head, Fla–Walton County Sheriff’s Office has captured Colton Shane Bryan, 25, following a short pursuit in Mossy Head Monday evening.
Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to serve Bryan with outstanding warrants out of Okaloosa County at a residence on East Laurel Lane following a tip regarding his whereabouts. Deputies met Bryan as he was attempting to flee the area in a vehicle and a short pursuit ensued. Colton wrecked the vehicle at the end of Girl Scout Road. WCSO Air One was deployed as well as the WCSO K9 Unit and Walton CI K9’s.
Colton’s outstanding warrants out of Okaloosa County include:
- Felony aggravated battery with a weapon
- Robbery with a firearm
- Aggravated assault
- Driving while license suspended
- Simple assault on LEO
Bryan was apprehended a short while later in a wooded area near Girl Scout Road. He was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries following the pursuit. He was booked into the Walton County Jail early Tuesday morning on additional charges including fleeing and eluding, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal mischief greater than $1,000.
