ONE INJURED IN DEFUNIAK SPRINGS SHOOTING; ONE IN CUSTODY

Walton County, Fla— A man is injured in a shooting on Caswell Drive in DeFuniak Springs Sunday morning and a suspect is now in custody.
Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on Caswell Drive just before 11am where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Investigators believe the suspect, later identified as Reuben Starnes, 60, confronted the victim at his home and the two got into a verbal argument over money and drugs. Starnes then pulled out a weapon. A struggle ensued and the victim was shot in the shoulder and Starnes fled the scene.
Starnes was later apprehended at his home at 428 Caswell Drive and was taken into custody.
