FIREARMS, CASH, AND VEHICLE STOLEN; 12 CAR BURGLARIES REPORTED IN SANTA ROSA BEACH

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla—Car burglars hit 12 cars on two adjacent streets in Santa Rosa Beach overnight Thursday stealing firearms, wallets, and a vehicle with the keys left inside.
Deputies responded to Garden Street and Plantation Way Friday morning following multiple reports of car burglaries in the area. Five vehicles on Garden Street and seven on Plantation Way were involved; including one white Chevy Tahoe that was stolen. All were left unlocked and the Tahoe had the keys left in it with one rifle and a shotgun inside.
The stolen Tahoe was later recovered on Green Street in Fort Walton Beach in Okaloosa County and investigators are now asking the public’s help in identifying the suspect seen in the surveillance video where the vehicle was left. The guns were not recovered.
