MORE THAN 100 GRAMS OF METH LOCATED DURING TRAFFIC STOP, TWO ARRESTED IN WALTON COUNTY

WALTON COUNTY, FLA— A traffic stop leads to two arrests and the seizure of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine early Wednesday in Walton County.

An investigation by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit led to a traffic stop on Interstate 10 and Highway 285 in Mossy Head.

During the stop, K-9 Kenny was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 113 grams of methamphetamine and 8 grams of cocaine.

Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody.

  • Clifton Foreman (driver), 59, of DeFuniak Springs, was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine (28–200 grams).
  • Blair Welch (passenger), 50, of DeFuniak Springs, was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine (28–200 grams), Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

“These arrests are a direct result of proactive policing and the outstanding work of our Vice/Narcotics Unit,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson. “Our K-9 teams continue to be an invaluable resource in intercepting dangerous drugs before they make it into our communities.”

Both individuals were transported to the Walton County Jail, where both were issued $50,000 bonds. They are still incarcerated at the time of this release.
