WCSO SEARCHING FOR ISABELLE JOHNSON; WANTED ON AN OPEN COUNT OF MURDER

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating Isabelle Johnson, 38, who is wanted on an active warrant for an open count of murder in connection with the killing of Jason Coulthart, 43.

Coulthart’s remains were discovered on Thursday, June 25, on a property off Sunset Lane in Freeport following information received from the Niceville Police Department. Five individuals have already been arrested for accessory after the fact to a capital felony as investigators continue targeted enforcement efforts to locate Johnson, who has been actively evading law enforcement.

Johnson is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 120 pounds. She is known to use multiple identities and aliases, including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy, and possibly “Denise.” She has ties to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida, as well as several areas in Georgia and lower Alabama. Johnson frequently moves locations and often convinces others to help her by telling sympathetic stories involving domestic violence or other personal hardships.

Investigators believe Johnson may have recently dyed and cut her hair to alter her appearance. She is also known to have several distinctive tattoos, including:
• A rose or flower tattoo on her left hand, beginning below the thumb and extending toward the index finger
• A tattoo on her right ankle (design unknown)
• A large scorpion tattoo extending from her left buttock down her left thigh

Up to $16,000 in reward money is being offered for information leading to Johnson’s capture. Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers and the Florida Sheriffs Association Criminal Apprehension Assistance Program are jointly offering $11,000. Tipsters providing information through Crime Stoppers can remain completely anonymous, and the tip must lead to Johnson’s arrest to qualify for the reward.

The U.S. Marshals Task Force is offering an additional $5,000 reward. This reward has specific stipulations and does not allow anonymity for those wishing to claim it; however, any personal information provided will be kept confidential.
