SUSPECT FLEES ON FOOT AFTER DEPUTIES FIND 28 GRAMS OF METH INSIDE TRUCK
Santa Rosa Beach, Fla— Raymond Shaw, 35, has now racked up seven charges in Walton County after fleeing from Walton County Deputies in Santa Rosa Beach Thursday.
Deputies were called to a suspicious persons call this morning near Forest Park Drive after a resident said there was someone parked in their driveway they did not recognize. Deputies made contact with the person, later identified as Raymond Shaw, who had no identification on him. Shaw told deputies his house was off of Marlin Court and deputies followed him to that location to allow him to locate his ID. While at the residence deputies asked to search his vehicle. Shaw gave consent and after further investigation deputies were able to locate nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine, several ammo shells, and other prescription drugs. During the search, Shaw fled from deputies.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office K9’s were called to the location, but were unable to locate Shaw. He now has seven outstanding warrants out of Walton County including:
- 893.135.1f1-Trafficking in Methamphetamine over 27 grams
- 893.13.6a Possession of a Controlled Substance Without a Prescription
- 790.23.1a- Possession of Ammo by a Convicted Felon
- 893.147.1- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- 843.02- Resisting without Violence
- 856.021- Loitering and Prowling
- 322.34.5- DWLSR Habitual Offender
