21-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR STABBING JUVENILE AT A PARTY IN FREEPORT; MOTHER CHARGED WITH TAMPERING
WALTON COUNTY, FLA— A 21-year-old is arrested in the stabbing of a juvenile at a party in Freeport Saturday night.
Walton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call just before 10 pm from the victim’s friends as they called for help while en route to the hospital. The caller told deputies their friend had been stabbed while at a party at a residence off Portland Park Road.
Deputies met up with the caller and victim at Grady Brown Park. Walton County Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim.
Additional calls came in regarding the incident at 187 Portland Park Road. Deputies responded and interviewed multiple witnesses and reviewed video evidence. All parties identified John Byron Kingkade, 21, as the suspect and said they saw him stab the victim with a knife multiple times.
Kingkade was subsequently charged with aggravated battery and aggravated child abuse. He was given a $500,000 bond and is still incarcerated at the time of this release.
Kingkade’s mother, Krystal Rabon Kingkade, 41, was also arrested following the incident. She faces charges of tampering with evidence after telling witnesses to delete cell phone video of the incident. She was released Sunday afternoon on a $15,000 bond.
