POSITION TITLE: Information Technology Video Support Technician
CLOSING DATE: Until filled
SALARY RANGE: $35,000 to $48,000
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking qualified applicants for the position of Information Technology Video Support Technician (ITVST).
This is a full-time position and will be required to work flexible hours depending on the needs and priorities of the agency. Applicant(s) understand that you will be required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support.
The ITVST is an I.T. professional responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all technological devices under the management of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Information Technology Department. The ITVST will be required to travel to various facilities within Walton County, FL under the management and control of the Sheriff in order to resolve technological issues. The ITVST will be required to interact with end users daily and should possess great interpersonal skills. The ITVST will be required to perform various I.T. duties at the direction of the I.T. Manager to include but not limited to system installations, software installations, server maintenance, data backup operations, network cabling, installation of surveillance systems, installation of access control equipment and troubleshooting operations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain FCIC/ NCIC certification

- Problem Solving Skills
- Associate, Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Two years’ experience working with IP based Camera Systems and Video Management Systems
