OCCUPATIONAL PROFILE

POSITION TITLE:               Mental Health Treatment Manager

SALARY RANGE:                 45,000.00-60,000.00

CLOSING DATE:                 Tuesday, May 30, 2017 @ 5:00 p.m.  

JOB SUMMARY:

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking qualified sworn or non-sworn applicants for the position of Mental Health Treatment Manager to assist with developing in house Behavioral and Mental Health Program for inmates at the Walton County Jail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Applicant must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) at the time of hire.

* Applicant must have a minimum of five years (5) of clinical experience

* Applicant must have a minimum of three years (3) of supervisory experience

* Preference will be given to applicants with previous Correction’s experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Assist in developing, implementing and administering substance abuse and mental health treatment programs

Assist in developing and monitoring clinical protocols for substance abuse and mental health treatment programs

Completes assessments, treatment plans and therapy as appropriate to the position

KNOWLEDGE ABILITY AND SKILLS:

Knowledge of the DSM-IV

Ability to accurately assess patient presentation in order to diagnosis and individualized treatment plan

Knowledge of range counseling and therapeutic techniques

Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work with difficulty individuals in a correctional setting

Ability to work under stressful conditions
