Support Service operations is under the direction of Henry Alford. Much of what they do is "behind the scenes" in support of the law enforcement operations component of the agency. The members in this division are dedicated, professional and knowledgeable in their respective areas of expertise. They are always looking for ways to save money and find more efficient ways to do business.
The Support Services Bureau is staffed with 23 sworn law enforcement officers, 48 support personnel and 4 volunteers, who provide specialized public safety services to the citizens of Walton County and other governmental agencies. The division encompasses Communications / 911, School Resource Deputies, Training, Information Technology, Records, Fleet/Property, Purchasing, Maintenance, Animal Shelter, Animal Control, Citizen Services and Front Desk.
